Project 3. The Letter

My view in this letter is a positive one but with suggestions. I put the background as a picture of a supra shoe box and took a photo of supra shoes lined up and added another picture which I then edited.

 Letter without design.

Dear Supra.
You are crazy, but in a good way. Who puts pockets in shoes? You do! And I applaud you for it. Thanks to you whenever I’m in a pinch for money I remember that emergency five dollar note I have stored in that handy pocket of yours in the shoe. There are other convenient things you can store in there as well... but that’s for another letter.

The design, the quality and the comfort for your shoe is second to none. The idea to get skaters such as Terry Kennedy and Chad Muska to help design shoes for skaters was a good move. However as amazing as your products are I have a few suggestions.

-One is to lower the prices in NZ, yes they are top quality but how many people can afford around $320 for just a pair of shoes
-Another is to have more online shops (mainly 413) to ship to NZ, this way the whole world can get your shoes with more ease and potentially cheaper. Also to ship your limited edition shoes to more places around the world than just America.
-Finally, since there’s already pockets in the shoes put some along the inside sides to put your laces in, no one really ties their skating shoe laces in a bow so having a place to put them in your shoe so it won’t make your foot uncomfortable would be ideal. You have the pocket thing down so might as well expand it.

With or without the extra pockets I will continue to buy your products. They are a top end good and very trustworthy and reliable. Please consider the suggestions I have made as I’m sure there are many people like myself that would like these changes to be made.

Yours sincerely.

Chris

Project 3. The Poster (on wall)

Poster stuck on wall in town.

Project 3. The Poster

This is my final design for my poster. The Supra logo is on the star to represent fame and it’s connected to the four pictures of Supra shoes to show that the fame is coming from the shoes. I wanted to keep it simple to get my point through so I didn’t use that many words and used a lot of negative space.  The “this is what fame looks like” was chosen because it was staying in the same theme of my word famous. This side has a white background to enforce that it’s positive where the bottom half is black to enforce negativity. On the bottom part of the poster I used the brand world industries because it’s another skater brand but it’s not as good as it used to be and has sort of died out which I illustrated with the heart rate line going dead.

Project 3. The Word

My word for my brand Supra is "Famous". I did the thread with gold and sliver necklaces and the grid is a pile of money scattered on the ground. This fits in with the brand really well because quite a few famous people wear these shoes they are a popular skating shoe and the grid as the money fits in because they are also quite expensive.

Project 3. Precedent

Here is my precedent for my poster, i took the main idea of the half black half white from it to put into my design.
